debt purchasers
My family is putting me into debt?

10 years ago I was in my first real job and my family wanted to buy a house so I agreed to be the purchaser since I had the best credit, with the idea being that my sister was going to take over the mortgage since she would be living there. Fast forward to now and my sister is unemployed (for the 5th time), my elderly mother is on a fixed income and I come by on Mother’s Day to find out that my brother who I thought was the only stable, employed one, arrested for an outstanding warrant that no one knew about! I am recently married and have been trying for years to get them to move so they can be someplace cheaper and I can stop paying $1100 a month to a home I have never lived in but my Mom wouldn’t budge and none of them care that since they have never had to take responsibility for themselves. What do I do ? Do I sell the house out from under them and lose my family?

I see this so often you try and do a good deed for your family and they take advantage of you. Look have you talked about this this with your family? Short of selling the house from under them I don’t see an out. If your sister can’t or wont refinance the mortgage no one cares your forking out $1100.00 a month what choice do you have?

Good luck
Family is about caring about each other not climbing on ones back and riding.
